About Us

Bob Labadini - President, CTO, and Founder of NextComputing LLC

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide the highest-performance, mobile and "small-footprint" computing solutions to federal and commercial enterprise markets.

In 1999, Robert (Bob) Labadini founded NextComputing on the premise of providing clients with a unique type of service in industries that need quality computer services, small form factor, and highly portable equipment.

By taking advantage of developments in high-performance computing as they happen, we can cater to niche markets and meet their specific needs. We provide companies with cutting edge, high-performance mobile workstations, blade servers, and rugged workstations. We have become the go-to technology company that very few companies can compete with.

We have always been a technological trendsetter. As portable personal computers have become more powerful, and laptop computers become more common, we've observed a greater call for high-end portable workstations. More and more industries are discovering the utility and advantages of laptop workstations and desktop replacements.

By fusing our own expertise with partner and customer feedback and development requests, we proudly introduce innovative new products, many first of their kind. We work to solve the challenges presented to us by our users. Our aim is to not only meet those current needs but to anticipate future needs and work with high-end developers, data analysts, demonstrators, and IT professionals to stay ahead of the trends. NextComputing and its technologies provide exceptional performance, flexibility, portability, and longevity to those who are looking for the best.

In 2005, we redefined the industry by creating a new class of computing: the first flextop computer, a personal "supercomputer" that maintains three characteristics: portability; open standards architecture; and uniquely flexible and expandable. The first flextop, the NextDimension, has evolved to become a strong family of flextops that meet a wide range of high-performance needs. A flextop is designed with an open standards architecture that maximizes performance and offers high quality and high functionality in many applications, from a mobile data sniffer to a portable workstation.

We stand firmly where performance and practicality meet. Our technology blends top performance multi-core processing with PCI expandability and I/O options. We use Dual-Core AMD Opteron™ processors, Sun SPARC™ processors, which will support the latest UltraSPARC™ IIIi for the foreseeable future, and dual-core and quad-core Intel® Xeon® processors. We also offer operating systems ranging from Solaris x86 and Trusted Solaris options to various versions of Linux and Windows as requested by our customers.

Our Commitment to Technology

We are a highly specialized operation that is head and shoulders above its competition. We're always developing new ways of bringing technological innovation to our market, so that our customers can take advantage of the latest high-performance options as fast as possible. Our target markets are wide-ranging and demanding, from broadcasting to oil exploration to emergency response teams and the military.
